Thermal & Vacuum Freezing
Wet documents are frozen solid. This prevents ink migration and pages sticking together. We then use sublimation—converting ice directly to vapor—to dry the books without them ever passing back through a liquid phase.
Gamma Irradiation & Cleaning
If floodwaters were contaminated (Category 3 water), we utilize gamma irradiation to sterilize documents, eliminating bacteria and mold spores. Physical cleaning removes surface debris and sediment.
Structural Drying & Re-shelving
While contents are treated off-site, our industrial air movers and desiccants dry the facility itself. Once the building and books are certified dry, we return and re-shelve your collection exactly as it was.
